Information for donors
Carecent depends entirely on donations – of money, food, clothing, toiletries - and time.
As usual, people in and around York have been amazingly generous this Harvest and Christmas time, and we are overwhelmed by your kindness. Just for now, we have all of the tinned food we need, but we would be very grateful for financial contributions towards the fresh food that we need to buy each week (bread, cheese, milk etc).
Supermarket vouchers are also tremendously useful.
We will soon need donations of tinned goods again, so do please watch this space.
Clothing and Toiletries
Gents’ socks please - they don’t have to be new, but they do have to be clean! We would also welcome mens & ladies underwear (new / nearly new)
Jeans (in sizes 30”, 32” and 34”)
Gents’ clothes (fleeces / jumpers / t-shirts)
Hats, gloves, roll-on deodorant (no aerosols please), toothpaste, shampoo and disposable razors.
Baby wipes / cosmetic wipes
Your support ensures we are able to continue to care for our vulnerable customers.
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01904 624244 during opening hours (Monday - Friday, 8am-11am).
Friends of Carecent: Could you help?
Our running costs have increased significantly over the last couple of years, and we now need to secure regular income alongside continuing donations in order to carry on helping the vulnerable people who rely on us.
We are looking for "Friends" - supporters who will commit a regular monthly contribution to Carecent in order to provide us with a more secure income.
If you would like to become a Friend of Carecent, please email email@example.com and ask for a Friends Form.
